Can a high protein diet help to lose weight?

 




Protein is the most important nutrient for weight loss. When you eat high protein diet, your body reduces appetite and also slow down the weight gain hormones.


Hunger hormone ghrelin level reduces when you eat high protein diet. This can automatically reduce the calories intake. High protein diet  can drop weight because eradicating carbohydrates causes a loss of body mass.Due to high protein diet the ketones released into bloodstream and help to reduce appetite.


A protein consumption between 0.5-1 grams per pound of body weight 1.2-2.2 grams /kg daily seems most helpful for losing weight. Some people lose up to 10 pounds in a month if they eat high protein diet in their daily routine.




How much protein do we needed?


The amount of protein you should eat is determined   by few factors including your age, size, activity body size, activity level. Men need at least 60 grams of protein a day and women need about 50 grams of protein a day.


You should take vegetables, beef ,fish and eggs for high protein diet. Fish is rich in protein and have low carbohydrates and  Omega-3 fatty acid which is good for our body.
