What do we need to know about the study which detects the new way to fight against herpesviruses?
Herpesvirus
is very transmissible viral infection and this virus is spread by direct
contact with wounds or sometimes this virus can be spread with an affected area
with no wounds.
Herpes
virus causes abscesses or wounds in the mouth and sometimes cause fever .
This
virus sometimes infect other parts of the body including the eyes and brain.
Most
of the time, doctors can easily recognize the sores caused by herpes but the
analysis of wounds or blood test is necessary.
At present,
only one vaccine is present for the preservation of a herpesvirus infection.
This live, attenuated vaccine is intended for use in the normal child, and not
in immunocompromised individuals.
Recently two
prodrugs have been licensed for the treatment of herpesvirus in the elderly.
Valaciclovir,
the prodrug of acyclovir, and famciclovir ,the prodrug of penciclovir ,provide
high plasma levels of the parent compounds and offer added efficiency as well
as decreased dosing frequency in the management of shingles.
